Original vintage French aluminium mess kit / gamelle of the Modèle 1935 type.
Complete three-piece configuration consisting of the main container with carrying handle, inner tray and lid/pan with folding wire handle.
Clearly manufacturer marked with the characteristic “AM” logo inside a circle.
This AM marking is documented on French Modèle 1935-type mess kits. This particular example has no visible date marking. Undated AM examples are known, but it is currently difficult to establish with certainty whether these were produced under French military contract or for the civilian market.
Original used condition with age-related wear, oxidation and traces of use. No restoration or polishing has been carried out.
An interesting original period French field/camping mess kit, suitable for collectors of French equipment and vintage military-style cooking equipment.
